A Montessori pre-school is called the Children’s House.
The “teacher” is known as a Guide. Children work in a safe environment supporting free movement, concentration, exploration, and creativity. The day begins with song, and continues with individualized learning. Using carefully designed materials the children will build their senses and skills in practical life, language, math, geography, history, science, music, and art.

These areas of study are interwoven throughout the carefully prepared environment. Each lesson is presented individually at a pace and time appropriate to the child's needs.
Through purposeful activity and play the children are provided with the chance to care for each other, themselves, and environment.
Our school is located in a beautiful setting with natural playscape, a bountiful garden, and a mini-farm with chickens, ducks, rabbits, sheep, and goats. The children will enjoy the year-round gardens while learning stewardship of the earth and its creatures.
